Say NO TO CANCER

Are you really healthy?Do you think that the chances of you getting cancer is 0%?surely I don’t think so because we can get cancer anytime but don’t worry “as many as 70% of known causes of cancer are avoidable and related to lifestyles”, says Thomas A.Sellers,PhD,associate director of cancer prevention and control at Moffitt Cancer Centre in Tampa.Of course we all know that your first line of body defense play an important role in fighting cancer ,but recent research has discover many more suprising ways of preventing cancer.
As we all know that smoking is by far the biggest preventable cause of cancer. The tobacco in cigarette was responsible for more than 100 milion death worldwide in 20th century. The World Health Organisation (WHO) has estimated that ,if smoking continue, tobacco could cause billion of death in 21st century.Smoking mostly effect our lung which can cause lung cancer.Lung cancer has one of the lowest survival rates of all cancer.Smoking can also cause other cancer such as larynx cancer, oesophagus cancer and even mouthn cancer. The good news is that all of this cancer are preventable by giving up on smoking. So for one to prevent cancer is by not smoking.
Another suprising way of preventing cancer is by filter your tap water.A report from the President’s Cancer Panel on how to prevent cancer suggest that one should filter their tap water.By doing this you can reduce your exposure to known or suspected carcinogens and hormone-disrupting chemicals.According to Enviromental Working Group, filter tap water is much more safer compare to bottled water ,whose quality often is not higher.Store water in stainless steel or glass to avoid chemical contaminants such as BPA that can leach from plastic bottles.
Next, marinate the meat first before we eat them.Processed, charred, and well-done meats can contain cancer-causing heterocyclic amines, which form when meat is seared at high temperature and polycylic aromatic hydrocarbon ,which get into food when its charcoal boiled.According to Cheryl Lyn Walker ,PhD,a professor of carcinogenesis at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Centre, he recommended that to avoid or lessen the intake of grilled meat.If you still want to eat grilled meat, you can prepare the meat by add rosemary and thyme to favourite marinade and soak meat for at least an hour before cooking. This antioxidant-rich species can cut HCAs by as much as 87% ,according to a research at Kansas State University.
Cell phones also play an important role in preventing cancer.Use your cell phones only for short calls or texts,or use a hand-free device that keeps the phones and the radio frequency energy it emits away from your brain .According to President’s Cancer Panel report, frequent usage of cell phones can increase the risk for brain cancer. The main point is to prevent any risk than to protect against a proven danger.
In conclusion, cancer is a disease that can be prevented in many ways. Not only  by taking medicine or supplement but also by having a healthy lifestyle.

  3. The article include the intervention that we can apply in our daily life,at least lessen the chance to get cancer. The cite from WHO does not have the year that the statistic was done since the value of expected mortality could change given the advance analytical and treatment equipment might lower the value of mortality.Overall the article is common with added scientific information making it very detail article.
